Happened to be in the neighborhood and was hungry. Being from the U.S., I had been meaning to try a curry in London. Tried the Chicken Vindaloo, which is my favorite, and was not disappointed. Even at full strength, the dish was very tasty, had just the right heat, and was more than enough to fill me up. A real local treat.

I am from the US and heard that the Indian food in London is spectacular, so I had to give it a try while I was visiting! I would have to say that Indian food is one of my favorites, so I was going into this experience with high expectations. The place had your average shop-type restaurant atmosphere, nothing special, but I always prioritize food quality over the atmosphere anyways.

I ordered the butter chicken and chicken samosas and my friend (a London native), who has never tried Indian food before, ordered the butter chicken and vegetable samosas. We both got naan as a side. The food came out quickly! We were extremely hungry so this was a pleasant surprise. What was even better was the food. The samosas tasted less fatty than the ones I have had back in the US, but still delicious and flavorful all the same. The butter chicken was creamy and wonderful as well. There was less chicken in there and more sauce, which was a bit problematic because we ordered naan as our side dish - we had a lot of leftover sauce. I would definitely recommend giving it a go, but get rice so you can eat it all up!

The only thing was that they were a bit pushy with asking us to leave at the end. They cleared our table and that was fine, but the waiter also came back and took away our waters before asking if we were done. He explained as he was taking the waters that they were closing, and it might have just been miscommunication on our ends, but we did read online that they were open until 11 and it was only 10:30 when I checked the clock.

Regardless, I would still 100% recommend!

What a find!  Little whole in the wall that seats only 40 ish people. Giving it a 5 star for two reasons! Value and delicious! The best Indian fare I've had ever! Got the vegetable samosas as a starter.  Wasn't as big and crunchy as a typical one but it definitely very tasty.  For our entree we got the tandoori chicken and saag paneer with garlic naan. All were brought out piping hot.  The wait was worth It.  Going to try another famous one in London this week.  It's going to be hard to beat Chillies!

This is a small, welcoming restaurant with a wide range menu. There are several styles of Indian and Pakistani food, and the two we had were delicious. I had a lamb curry, spicy, and Marilyn had chicken in almonds, pistachio and coconut milk. Both were in the £ 7-8 range. Pickle and chutney were £1 as were 3 pieces of naan. The lassi was very good, about £2.50.

This is about a 15 minute walk from the London side of the Westminster bridge. It is worth the trip.

I do not remember if we found this place by accident or if it was recommended to us. Either way, I am glad for the find! My family came to London for Christmas vacation...er...holiday and enjoying Indian food, we made it a point to have Indian at least once here.

First off, this place has a Trip Adviser sticker which is already a great sign. We ordered three types of nan, chicken biryani, chicken tika masala, paneer tika masala, and half a tandoori chicken. For drinks we had coke, sprite, a ginger beer, and two mango lassis. All of this for around 60 GBP! This place is more than affordable and it is quite a steal.

The food was also delicious, everything taking time because it was all made fresh upon order. Not sure if it is USA-thing, however the tandoori chicken we ordered was not red, instead colored like a normal chicken. Don't worry, it still tasted great. If I come back to London, you can bet that I'll be back here. Here's to a happy and prosperous 2018, Chillies Tandoori! May your kitchen be cooking and your window have many more awards.
